Best Fitbit Ionic Bands

The best Fitbit Ionic bands you can buy in 2019

Updated: March 17, 2019 by Kelsey Clubb

If you’re looking to up your style, or even just your comfort, there are 8 official Fitbit Ionic Bands to choose from in varying colors, sizes, and materials.

One of the bands can only be obtained when you purchase the Fitbit Ionic Adidas Edition and is not available to buy as an additional accessory band.

It’s also important to note that the bands that fit the Fitbit Ionic will also fit the Fitbit Ionic Adidas Edition. So, all of the bands on this page will fit the entire Fitbit Ionic family.

Materials

The Fitbit Ionic Leather bands are made of premium Horween leather with an aluminum buckle.

Water Resistance

If you’re doing fitness-related activities like running or swimming, then you’ll need to switch to a classic or sport band as the leather wristbands are not intended for high-intensity workouts.

The Fitbit Ionic leather bands are not sweat or water resistant and Fitbit recommends limited to no contact with moisture to reduce discoloration and damage to the band.

For additional information, check out Fitbit’s Wear & Care Guide.

Fitbit Ionic Band Size

The official Fitbit Ionic bands come in two sizes: small and large.

No matter which version of the Fitbit Ionic or Fitbit Ionic Adidas Edition you initially buy, you’ll receive both a small and large size wristband.

If you’re buying an additional accessory or replacement band, however, you’ll need to choose either the small or the large size.

The small size Fitbit Ionic bands should fit wrists 5.5″-6.7″ (140mm-170mm) in circumference.

The large size Fitbit Ionic bands should fit wrists 6.7″-8.1″ (170mm-206mm) in circumference.

If you are in between sizes (i.e., your wrist size is around 6.7″ or 170mm), Fitbit usually recommends that you choose the larger size wristband.

If you’re still unsure of your size, you can try the Fitbit Ionic Band Sizing Tool.

Final Thoughts

If you don’t already have a Fitbit Ionic and you think you might like the Fitbit Ionic sport band (and I sure do love mine), you might want to go ahead and get the Fitbit Ionic Adidas Edition if you like the color.

You’d be getting both a small and large size sport band essentially for the price of a single small or large sport accessory band, so it might be easier to justify the additional cost if you think of it in that way.
